As employer engagement specialists we teach college staff the tips and tricks we have learned over the past decade to help them secure employer opportunities for their learners.
Improve your learner outcomes
Close ties with employers will enable you to develop progression pathways for certain roles or industry sectors via new apprenticeships, higher apprenticeships or HE provision. Over time this will boost enrolment on FT courses.
The Apprentice Levy means all large employers must hire apprentices, however many have negative perceptions of teenagers. Involving employers in FT education opens their eyes to the benefits of young employees and results in new career opportunities for learners.
Mobilise volunteer support by employers in the design and delivery of your curriculum resulting in an up to date curriculum at zero cost to you.
Service 1: Immerse
Immerse trains college staff to develop curriculum-relevant professional networks of local employers eager to provide benefits to their learners and maintain the network with just 20 minutes work a day.
Service 3: Bespoke Management Training
This staff training programme that promotes a business-like, even entrepreneurial culture. Our bespoke training tends to focus on the ‘rising stars’ to develop the skills and attitudes necessary for them to be top-class managers.
Service 4: Consultancy
An intensive day of meetings and workshops led by Dr James Lott, we will assess your needs and help you create and implement an employability strategy. Follow up reports and meetings ensure progress is being made as we mentor you along the way.
