In the past 12 months alone we have worked to better prepare almost 5,000 young people for the realities of launching their careers. Our programmes connect students with employers in their chosen sector to provide:

  • a broader understanding of roles available in their sector
  • a deeper understanding of skills and characteristics in demand
  • a chance to develop those skills and characteristics
  • a way to build a career-relevant network
  • work placements, work experience and employer-led projects
  • 1:1 interview experience

Working Knowledge has 16 years’ experience helping to bridge the gap between education and the workplace within Further Education, Higher Education, and as a Department for Education advisor from 2018-2020.

Since 2005, we have worked with 60+ Further Education Colleges, 30,000+ students, and 3,000 businesses to better prepare young people for the realities of getting a start in their sector.

We have also led the conversation around workplace readiness within the education sector through speaking at major industry events, working directly with Colleges piloting the new T-levels curriculum, and have been nationally recognised for our work.
